Rota Val Ltd was formed in 1970
as a specialist and dedicated manufacturer of Rotary and Diverter Valves
for the Solids Handling Industry. Backed by extensive experience and
knowledge, Rota Val has evolved
its products into one of the widest ranges of standard sizes and
features available as well as developing unique features and models.
Our experience and expertise coupled with complete in-house
facilities, provides for us to design and manufacture be-spoke
valves, when necessary, thereby ensuring that
Rota Val can satisfy most customer
and duty requirements competitively.
To further benefit from its strong growth experienced, in 1991 the
Company became a wholly owned subsidiary of the Swiss based
specialist materials handling Group, Gericke Holdings AG. While
remaining essentially an autonomous business, the additional
technical and commercial support provided by the Group, including
modern computerised test facilities, has enabled us to achieve and
maintain a position in the forefront of its market.
In December 1994 the Company was awarded the coveted certificate for
ISO 9001 Quality management system; the first Rotary & Diverter
Valve manufacture to have achieved this accreditation. In 2002 this
was extended to ISO 9001 - 2000
In 1996 the Company’s facilities were relocated into our current and
larger premises in Chippenham, there then followed a major
investment in modernising our production activities and services and
we can now boast an effective and flexible capability.
In 2004 Rota Val became the
first manufacturer of its product type to be awarded an EC - Type
Examination Certificate for its Rotary Valves to be used as an
‘Autonomous Safety System’ for Explosion / Flame containment under
the ATEX 94/9/EC Directive for ST2 dusts.
Rota Val’s competitive
high-quality products and ability to provide a high level of
technical and after-sales support have made it the exclusive
supplier to many of its customers.
In December 2005 the Company were delighted to announce that they
were awarded IIP status. The award follows an independent assessors
review, which is then checked by a panel of judges. |
